Bubbly blood sample , when i had my bloods taken today it came out bubbly .all five samples where the same?

can any one help ,why was my blood samples very bubbly today when i had my bloods taken ,it made me think of the bends ,as i don,t swim or dive am slightly baffled !!!!!!!!!!!! liz
It is nothing to do with the blood itself, simply the way it was either taken or squirted into the sample containers. This sometimes causes a problem as it can indicate that red cells have been traumatised in the process and this can give false results.
The preservatives in the tube sometimes cause some bubbling or foaming. This is completely normal.

The bends would not cause bubbles that you can see, and unless you were deep sea diving within the past 24 hours, we can safely rule that one out.
